MSc J.A. Miguel Díaz

Bioelectronics (BE), Department of Microelectronics

Expertise: Design-for-test Heterogeneous Systems with Application to Medical Electronics

Themes: Analog and Mixed-Mode Integrated Circuits and Systems

Jose Ángel Miguel Díaz was born in Santander (Spain) in 1982. He received his B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2007 and his M.Sc. degree in Information Technologies and Mobile Networks Communications in 2011, both from the Universidad de Cantabria, Santander, Spain. In between, he was hired as a research assistant for the Communication Engineering Department (DICOM) of the same University, where his research topics involved MEMS varactors and S-band VCOs design. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in the Microelectronics Engineering Group (GIM), belonging to the Electronics Technology, Systems and Automation Engineering Department (TEISA) from the Universidad de Cantabria. His research interests include MEMS design and implantable heterogeneous electronics for biomedical applications. In his (little) free time, Jose Ángel enjoys reading, listening to all kinds of music, making annoying noises with one of his electric guitars and hanging out with friends.
