XG Communications: QO MIMO Links

Background: Future 6G communications will benefit from having wireless links reaching Terabit per second (Tbps) data rates  to substitute current fiber optics. At the THz Sensing Group, we are leading an EU project to realize such links at 300 GHz. We want to exploit the possibility of transmitting multiple data streams in parallel between two base stations to achieve Tbps.

Master thesis project:

• Capacity study in lens arrays for links in the order of 100m

• Development of an array prototype at 300GHz in BiCMOS
