Patrīcija Ozoliņa

Patrīcija Kristiāna Ozoliņa was born in Riga, Latvia. She earned her BSc in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Groningen, where she joined Prof. Romana Schirhagl’s lab to validate a novel technique, nanodiamond-based quantum sensing, in tissue, and to assess the antioxidant potential of a natural extract.

Patrīcija is now pursuing an MSc in Biomedical Engineering at Delft University of Technology, specializing in medical devices. There, she discovered her passion for the intersection of neuroscience and bioelectricity and joined the Bioelectronics Group under Dr. Achilleas Savva. Her current project focuses on developing a human iPSC-derived neuron–astrocyte co-culture system, characterizing it, and integrating it with an axon-guidance device and biohybrid electronics.

Her research interests include neuroscience, biomaterials, regenerative medicine, and bioelectronics. Outside the lab, Patrīcija enjoys painting and crafting.
