Diede Wesseling

I joined the department of microelectronics in November 2024 as a second-year Master's student in Biomedical Engineering. My background is in Applied Physics, which I studied at the University of Groningen before coming to TU Delft last year. My research focuses on embedding pressure sensors into cataract lenses to monitor eye pressure, which could enable early detection of glaucoma. My project also involves a lens manufacturer in Groningen and an eye doctor at Erasmus MC. For this project, I am excited about combining applied physics with biomedical engineering.
