A biodegradable device for measuring tissue vitality in internal wounds healing

Internal wounds are difficult to monitor and are often detected once the problems spread further from the original wound. In need to monitor lasts less than three weeks. If a device is implanted to monitor the wound, it will either have to be removed or be made as a permanent implant. The alternative it to have a device which can be reabsorbed within the body within the 30 days.

Assignment

This project will involve an investigation of devices in biodegradable materials which are suitable for measuring tissue vitality

Requirements

The project requires interest in the materials and processing. A device needs to be developed in biodegradable materials.
